Terms & Conditions Of Sale
1. Overview
1.1 These Terms & Conditions of Sale govern the supply of goods sold by Edwards Engineering Ltd (t/a Edwards Standpipes) of Medley Park Farm, Craven Arms, Shropshire, SY7 9LL (“we”, “us” and “our”) to the Customer (“you”). Our Company Number is 03269480 and our VAT number is 379 0497 10.

2. Contract
2.1 Upon placing an order with us, you are entering into a contract for the purchase of goods from us. An email will be sent confirming that we have received your order.
2.2 We reserve the right to reject your order for any reason and will not be liable to you or to anyone else in those circumstances.
2.3 Occasionally, an error may occur such as incorrectly priced / described goods or the goods may no longer be available. On this occasion (at our discretion) we will cancel your order and refund the price you paid or we may give you the option to continue the order at the corrected price / description where possible.
2.4 All goods are subject to availability. Whilst we endeavour to hold sufficient stock, this may not always be possible. Should any ordered items be out of stock, we will attempt to contact you to confirm how you would like to proceed. Failure to resolve within 14 days will result in your order being cancelled and any payment will be refunded.
2.5 Your goods may vary slightly from illustrations and photographs. Whilst goods may be shown assembled they may require assembly by you.
2.6 Whilst we have tried to be as accurate as possible, all information provided is approximate and is provided in good faith.
2.7 This contract is covered by English law.
2.8 By purchasing something from us, you engage and agree to be bound by these terms, including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink.
3. Ordering Process & Payments
3.1 Our website allows you to search for the goods you require and then add them to your “basket“. Items can be removed from the basket at any time. Once you are happy, you can proceed through to the “checkout“ process, which will ask you for your details, calculate delivery and forward you through to our secure payment provider (SagePay) in order to take credit/debit card details. The total price you pay will be shown and confirmed before payment is taken. Once confirmed you will receive an order confirmation (a VAT invoice will follow).
3.2 Alternatively you are able to request a quote and/or send us a purchase order via email (sales@standpipes.com). We will then request payment to be made via a bank transfer. The total price you are required to settle will be shown on the respective quote / invoice that we sent to you by email or post.
3.3 When purchasing, the buyer accepts full responsibility for checking the accuracy of items ordered and billing / delivery details.
3.4 A breakdown of costs including value added tax and delivery charges will be shown on all account materials such as quotes, sales confirmations, invoices and payment receipts.
3.5 You will be required to pay for the goods in full at the time of ordering, prior to any delivery or collection (unless credit terms have already been agreed in writing).
3.6 All online purchases are processed using SagePay, our secure payment provider. Most major card providers such as Visa Debit, Visa Credit, Mastercard and Maestro are accepted.
3.7 All prices (unless otherwise stated) are displayed in British Sterling £ (GBP) and exclude value added tax. Payments will only be taken in British Sterling £ (GBP).
3.8 Once your order has been confirmed, changes may not be possible or may incur additional charges or delays.
3.9 In no circumstances should you send any payment / card details to anyone (including us) by email or post. We will never ask you to do this and cannot be held responsible for any losses you may incur in transmitting information to us by internet link or by email. Any such loss shall be entirely your responsibility.
3.10 Should any payment become overdue we shall be entitled to follow any claim proceedings to recover any debt owed to us.
4. Delivery
4.1 Unless you are using our "Click & Collect" service, goods will be dispatched within 1 working day (Monday - Friday excluding any holidays) of order confirmation via DX Freight (Small items may be sent via Royal Mail). Dispatch may be delayed in accordance with clause 4.10.
4.2 Once goods have been dispatched our courier aims for items to be delivered next working day to UK mainland and within 3-5 working days (Monday - Friday excluding any holidays) to other UK areas but not more than 30 days after the day you place your order, unless otherwise agreed between you and us. We are unable to offer any guaranteed or expedited delivery, however you are welcome to arrange your own courier through our click & collect service. Dispatch may be delayed in accordance with clause 4.10.
4.3 Your goods may arrive in multiple separate deliveries.
4.4 Locations we deliver to are available on our website at https://www.standpipes.com/delivery. If you require delivery elsewhere you must arrange your own courier.
4.5 We will deliver the goods to the premises you specify on your order. A signature will be required upon delivery.
4.6 If there is no one to accept the order on the scheduled delivery date the goods may be returned to the factory and we reserve the right to charge you an additional re-delivery charge.
4.7 If you change the delivery address once the goods have been dispatched to you, we reserve the right to pass on any extra charges made by our carriers for redirecting your delivery, if the carriers are able to make the change. This will delay your delivery.
4.8 Please check the goods on delivery - any goods found to be missing or damaged should be notified to the delivery driver at the time of delivery or ourselves within two working days of delivery of the items.
4.9 Deliveries are made to a ground floor entrance only and on the condition that there is reasonable access for the safe and prompt delivery of the goods.
4.10 Sometimes, for reasons beyond our control we may be prevented from delivering your goods as planned. These might include things such as accidents, breakdowns, fire, flood, storm, severe weather, acts of god, war, riot, civil commotion, malicious damage or the default of our suppliers. We are not responsible where this causes a delay or failure in delivering your goods.
4.11 You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received by you. If required, proof of deliveries must be requested within 3 months of dispatch. We cannot guarantee that a proof of delivery will be obtainable outside of this period. If a proof of delivery has not been requested during this period we will deem this to be your acceptance of a successful delivery.
4.12 We will not be held liable for loss of earnings, installation fees or any other professional trades persons fees due to late, damaged or lost deliveries.
5. Click & Collect
5.1 When "Click & Collect" is requested on your order we aim to reserve your goods and have ready for collection within 1 hour of order confirmation.
5.2 Collection is only available from our premises. Our Location is: Edwards Standpipes, Medley Park, Craven Arms, Shropshire, SY7 9LL
5.3 Items will only be made available during normal business hours, which are available on our website.
5.4 Please be aware that some of our items are bulky and you will require sufficient transportation for your goods. You accept any safe transportation of the goods are entirely your responsibility.
5.5 Proof of identification / order verification will be requested upon arrival. Please bring any order confirmation or invoice with you.
5.6 If you do not collect your order within 14 days then your order will be cancelled and any payment will be refunded.
6. Manufacturer's Warranty & Guarantees
6.1 Some of our goods are sold with a manufacturer's warranty (This information will be displayed in the product description). Any complaint should be made directly to the manufactuer and we do not have any responsibility or liability in connection with any such guarantee.
6.2 Any goods manufactured by Edwards Standpipes will be guaranteed for a period of 12 months against faulty workmanship and materials. However, we shall not be liable for any failures that arise from ware and tear, incorrect installation, negligence, insufficient maintenance or malicious damage. This warranty does not extend to goods not manufactured by us.
6.3 Subject to clause 6.2 if there is a problem with your goods you must notify us by email. You must also provide us with a sufficient digital photograph of the problem as this saves you having to return the goods for inspection.
6.4 Any manufacturer’s warranty is provided in addition to the rights that the law says you have as a consumer and accordingly, your statutory rights are not affected.
7. Cancellation, Returns & Refunds
7.1 In accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations, you have the right to cancel your contract at any time up to 14 days after the day of delivery. Cancellations must be requested in writing and we are unable to accept cancellations by phone.
7.2 Any goods that are considered "bespoke" and that have been specifically custom manufactured for the customer are exempt from clause 7.1.
7.3 You will lose your right to cancel after the expiry of the 14 day period referred to in clause 7.1 and we are entitled to charge a re-stocking fee after this period. (this does not affect your rights if there is any fault with the goods).
7.4 If you cancel, you must return the goods within 14 days of cancellation, complete with the original packaging to us and/or our supplier at your own expense (however on inspection we will refund your reasonable postage costs, providing that the goods are found to be faulty). You must ensure that the goods are packaged adequately to protect against damage.
7.5 If you do not return the goods delivered to you or do not pay the costs of delivery, we shall be entitled to deduct the direct costs of recovering the goods from the amount to be re-credited to you.
7.5 Any payments made by you, will be refunded using the same means of payment as you used to pay for your original order. This will be done within 14 days of receiving the returned goods.
7.6 We reserve the right to deduct from the refund amount for loss in value of the goods returned, whereby the goods show signs of unreasonable use or damage. We may withhold any refund until we have received the goods or you have supplied proof of return for the goods.
7.7 We cannot be held responsible for any returned goods that fail to arrive back at our premises. For your protection we recommend that you use a recorded delivery service.

9. Privacy & Data Protection

10. Liability
10.1 All products sold by us are designed to comply with all relevant UK legislation. We cannot warrant or represent that they comply with any legal requirement outside the UK.
10.2 We shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control including, without limitation, strikes, lock-outs and other industrial disputes, breakdown of systems or network access, flood, fire, explosion or accident.
10.3 If any part of these terms and conditions is unenforceable (including any provision in which we exclude our liability to you) the enforceability of any other part of these conditions will not be affected.
10.4 We reserve the right to make variations and alterations to these terms and conditions as and when we deem necessary.
